A new beginning

Hello!

How’s everyone doing? Some year…

Needless to say, 2020 hasn’t exactly shaped up the way we planned. This summer was the agency’s 10th anniversary, and back in February the year was shaping up to be the busiest and most successful across the board – cause for celebration all round.

I’ll leave poring over the unmitigated disaster that covid-19 has been for the live music industry (read: humanity)… Whilst not wishing to underplay it for a second, one thing this year has brought is time; time to reflect, time to strategise, time to remodel. I’m sure I speak for all of us in saying “that’s plenty”, but nonetheless it has given us the opportunity to work on a pretty major project – a much needed, long overdue rebrand and renaming.

Why? To be honest, TwentyTwo Promotions has never really felt 100% right, and the more it was used the clearer that became.

The name was chosen back in 2010 when I started booking gigs, through the need to have an agency identity – yet without any real understanding of what an agent actually did; or indeed a promoter, and the crucial differences between them. Little did I know I’d settled on quite a misleading moniker that would need to come with an explanation. Every. Single. Time.

In the decade since, I’ve been very fortunate to attend conferences and festivals around the world, where nine times out of ten an introduction would be met with; “oh cool, you’re a promoter?”. My reply of “well no… agent” would invariably be met with initially puzzled, sceptical looks.

Not ideal but I stuck with it, doggedly thinking it was what it was, and (probably more truthfully) not having the time to do anything about it. As the years wore on, I found myself using the agency name less and less, and instead just my own. Fine, but in that case why have it at all?

And so, in the most unlikely of circumstances, the agency is finally able to begin a new chapter, reborn ten years later, as CCM Live.

CCM: Craig Corse Music. And Live? It definitely will be again.

You’re already on our brand new website, and our social handles have also had an update – please do follow us on FacebookTwitter, and (new for 2020) Instagram and Spotify! Our emails are also moving to the new URL, though you don’t need to do anything to stay in touch – everything has been integrated, so emails to the old accounts will continue to deliver. Nice and easy!

In the meantime, we’re still working with the same group of ten brilliant artists, and cannot wait for live events to resume when safe to do so, Please do check them out, and drop us a line if you think something might work later in 2021, 2022 or beyond… or just to say hello, it would be great to hear from you!

All the best, and here’s to live gigs in 2021!
